Week 5: Post 2 MBA 6101: Artificial Intelligence in The Classroom
Do Schools like Artificial Intelligence in The Classroom?
One of the common topics we read about today is how AI is finding its way into classrooms. From providing students answers to homework problems, to helping students learn and develop, the question still stands, do schools like AI in the classroom? Well the answer is simply yes, schools utilize AI (Artificial Intelligence) in various ways to provide benefit to their students and faculty. AI technology has the potential to enhance education and provide valuable tools and resources for both teachers and students. Here are some examples of how AI is being used in schools:
First, AI has brought us intelligent tutoring systems. AI-powered tutoring systems can provide personalized learning experiences for students. These systems use machine learning algorithms to analyze student performance, identify areas of weakness, and provide targeted feedback and support. Likewise, adaptive learning platforms are also another major focus that AI brings to the table. AI can be used to create adaptive learning platforms that adjust the content and pace of instruction based on individual student needs and abilities. These platforms can provide customized learning paths, recommend resources, and track progress.
Next, assessments as well as grading of those assessment are another big benefit when it comes to AI in the classroom. AI can automate the grading process by analyzing student responses and providing immediate feedback. This saves teachers time and allows them to focus on other aspects of instruction. AI can also be used for plagiarism detection in assignments and help limit dishonesty when it comes to taking an exam.
Another major AI benefit when it comes to the classroom and education insinuations are the use of virtual assistants. Like many businesses, schools can use virtual assistants powered by AI to answer frequently asked questions, provide information about school policies and events, and assist with administrative tasks. These virtual assistants can be integrated into websites or mobile applications or even the schools phone system or parents or guardians calling for information.
All in all, there are a number of other ways AI can be utilized in the classroom. From providing data analysis and predictive analytics to sort large amounts of educational data, to providing individualized lessons and learning opportunities, to even providing teachers and faculty with classroom management capabilities, AI has a place within education and as it continues to evolve and grow, there will be new stipulations and regulations but as for the time being, it is here to stay.
